Fine food, experienced within the boundaries of ambiance, is almost other-worldly. And, if food has a spirit, then executive chef, Brian Hopper, of the Groves Restaurant in Myers Flat, California is its medium.
Much in the way one walks through an art gallery where the paintings of the Renaissance Masters adorn the walls, so is the experience of dining at a table of the Groves.
Aside from the exquisite and unique presentation of each entrée, the combination of texture and taste combine in your mouth to present an experience that nears hedonism.
Proprietor, Thomas Meagher, successfully conveys his passion for all things wine and food by being a student of culinary art; the science of how foods combine as a deliberate compliment in addition to being something wonderful to see.
As each movement of a symphony builds to a wonderful crescendo, so will each appetizer, entrée, and desert as they are served meticulously at the right moment of time to fuel your anticipation.
The Groves Restaurant is a mere forty-five miles south of Eureka, California through one of the most scenic and awe-inspiring sections of highway, The Avenue of the Giants, and worth the drive.
Reservations are recommended, as each exhibit for dining is limited to fewer than fifty patrons; however, in the long and wonderful days of Summer, increased seating is available outdoors amidst a garden of wildflowers and butterfly bushes. All of which were hand picked and planted by Thomas himself.
